Saying thank you to nurses, midwives and health care assistants

As patients, we typically find that the opportunity to say thank you to the people who have looked after us does not present itself. That is why The Cavell Nurses’ Trust is running the Moment of Thanks campaign.

Moment of Thanks is about thanking nurses, midwives and health care assistants whose work is all too often unacknowledged or under-appreciated.

This is not about clinical excellence – it’s about expressing gratitude for those precious acts of kindness that can make all the difference: a reassuring hand on the shoulder, the offer of a cup of tea or a well-timed chat.

How can I help?

The campaign is launching nationally on the 12th October and we’re looking for people of all ages with a story to tell and a thank you to make.

You don’t have to have a dramatic story – just a fond memory of when a nurse, midwife or health care assistant made a difference to your day with an act of kindness or empathy.

You don’t have to give details of your hospital experience or even your name – we just want to hear about why you want to say thanks.

If you’d like to take part in the Moment of Thanks campaign please email your thank you to this address.
