Youth advice

Our Apprenticeships First campaign drove front-page headlines and social media conversation to meet two objectives. We drove up the number of employers enquiring about hiring apprentices in advance of exam results and positioned apprenticeships as the new norm for ambitious young people during the exam results season.

The result was significant increases in year-on-year awareness of apprenticeships among all target audiences, with a 57% increase in the number of employers contacting the National Apprenticeship Service, and improved advocacy among young people and parents.

  • 8 in 10 parents would recommend apprenticeships for their children
  • 60% of 14-16 year olds wanted to do an apprenticeship
  • 440+ pieces of media coverage reached 83% of UK adults 8.5 times each
  • 29% increase in Facebook likes and 50,000 engagements with campaign posts
