Padraig Walsh

Padraig is an experienced psychologist whose work focuses on applying behavioural science to solve real world problems.

His work has taken him across three continents, speaking at numerous conferences about applications of Behavioural Science in Education, Health & Social Care. His clients have ranged from multinational businesses helping their employees transition to work-from-home, to construction firms using behavioural insights to improve employee Health & Safety. Discovering exciting and novel applications of Behavioural Science is a passion for Padraig, who also co-presents the aptly named podcast 'The Behavioural Vaccine’.

Padraig has discussed Behavioural Science in the media in his native Ireland including appearances on Virgin Media, RTE news, RTE Radio One and Newstalk. He has also written for The Irish Independent, The Irish Sun and The Journal.ie. He has covered topics as diverse as using behavioural science to help understand why we spread fake news, managing alcohol consumption (in his role as Consultant Behavioural Psychologist with DrinkAware, Ireland) and managing anxieties in the household in the height of the pandemic.

Padraig is an internationally accredited Board Certified Behavior Analyst and an Associate Fellow of the Psychological Society of Ireland. He lectures in Behavioural Psychology on Doctorate Programmes at the University of Limerick and Master Programmes at Trinity College, Dublin.

In a former life, Padraig climbed to Everest base camp and performed improv at the Edinburgh Fringe. These days, Padraig can be found swimming in the Irish sea and sharing his home office with his new son Milo.
