Tiago has completed an MSc and a PhD in Health Psychology and has been working in and around Health Psychology research and behaviour change interventions throughout his career, holding different academic and operational roles.
Tiago is an advocate for creative qualitative methods and innovative research practices. He places the lived experiences of local communities at the forefront of his work, and believes that by focusing on these personal narratives, it is possible to improve health and social outcomes and address health inequalities effectively, at scale.
He has been working in public health and with different public health teams, local authorities, and communities across the country to shape support systems, service provision, and promote innovative change. His work has been centred around achieving meaningful evidence-based interventions through building the bridge between rigorous research, behavioural science practices, and real world, contextually relevant settings.
Outside work Tiago can be found camping and exploring nature, or listening to an audiobook.
